Our vision is to see the members of our church, the city of Greensboro, and the globe, transformed by the Gospel, and set on fire to take the Gospel to their neighbors, their family and the nations.
Lawrence has been in full-time ministry for almost 40 years. The North Carolina native, son of a pastor answered the call to ministry while in grade school. He attended Gardner-Webb University. After undergrad he went to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he got his masters and his Doctorate. Lawrence met his wife Jenny while he was a pastor in Asheville and she was doing summer missions. He moved to S. Elm in January of 1985. He serves on the Board of Directors at the North Carolina Baptist State Convention and sits on the executive committee.
Lawrence has two daughters who are both married and is a grandpa to a brand new baby. He is a Christmas fanatic and known to many as Mr. Christmas. Lawrence loves playing golf, mowing the yard, watching Andy Griffith, football and Duke basketball.
Chad has been at South Elm for many years. He first came as a college student when he attended UNCG. He soon got plugged in and began serving in our church. Chad has been on staff at S. Elm for 17 years. Throughout his tenure he has played a vital role in our ministry through music, discipleship and serving our community.
Chad met his wife Melissa through our church and they have three beautiful children. He loves spending his free time with his family, traveling, watching his kids play sports and the occasional game of golf.
Bonnie is an accomplished executive assistant offering over 20 years of experience. She serves our church as our office administrator and she is often the first voice you will hear when you call the church office. Bonnie plays a critical role on our ministry team interacting with members of the community on our behalf and making sure things run smoothly.
Bonnie and her husband Wayne have two children, Andrew and Amber. She loves spending time with her family and serving her community. Bonnie is an active member at her church.
